When life gets really hard (as it did for me) one questions arises:
"How am I going to get through this...well?"(or the teenage version: "HOW CAN I DEAL WITH THIS??") As a young person I did not have an answer.
I had turned to traditional clinical therapy at certain points in my life, and never really found solutions - I often stayed stuck, dwelling on my problems, and reliant on a therapist. It didn't feel any healing, so I'd give up, thinking that I just had to "soldier on." Occasionally therapy helped me to hold what felt impossible, but it often felt like a temporary solution.
Then crisis struck as a new parent, and felt unable to cope in 2011 with a critically ill child. I felt damaged, increasingly negative and fearful. I struggled with worry, and my relationships suffered. In 2012, I stumbled upon something different - something that empowered me, equipped me to navigate my life's difficulties, work through them, and experience life with a renewed perspective, healing, and joy. It felt empowering, long-lasting, and, while it took work, it equipped me for any future I might face. I had tools to navigate any challenge with a positive mindset. I set out on a path to discover MORE tools.
In 2013 I helped found a support group of pediatric heart transplant caregivers (in 2026 the membership is nearing 3000 members). I've spent countless hours mentoring these parents in what I have learned.
In 2020, I became certified in one of the processes I had achieved so much healing with (IBSR) as a life coach, and in 2023 I left marketing to dedicate myself to this calling full-time. Today, I am healed from trauma, I live in joy, and I look forward to the future, and I have tools in any moment these things don't feel true. I feel blessed to realize more every day the things that have kept me from being the person I was created to be, and I love helping others find the same.
I do not limit myself to one method or approach to better life quality. I've developed a series of methods and trainings, incorporating Inquiry and CBT concepts, I've published some of them in an international best-selling book in 2023 for life coaches, then wrote a second best-seller in 2024 for individuals experiencing hardship (Dear Mama in the Darkness), and I'm humbled by the results my clients experience, and the trust they have in me.
In 2023 I started speaking professionally at events, for foundations, in high school classrooms, for groups of parents, and in corporate training conferences. I can speak on many topics, but my favorites are resilience, coping skills, positive mindset, navigating hardship, parenting, and advocating for parents of special needs kids.
In 2024 I opened The HARTT Barn - a community education center with a mission to empower people to thrive in a challenging world. Even in its first year, it is clearly making a positive change in people's lives. I am so grateful. In 2026 we've opened up our offerings to RETREATS in addition to one-night workshops.
I am not a clinician, none of our services and classes at HARTT are considered psychotherapy or medical in nature. We are not giving advice, legal or otherwise. This is your life, and there is no one-size-fits-all to better life quality and emotional health. I hope we at HARTT can find ways to empower you to THRIVE in this challenging world.
Let's talk and see if anything we offer is a fit for you.
"It is not the problem that causes our suffering; it is our thinking about the problem."
